At Teach For Uganda (TFU), we believe that every child in Uganda, regardless of their socio-economic background, deserves an opportunity for a quality and equitable education. Our innovative approach is designed to help improve the quality of education for all children in Uganda.

We are grooming and nurturing a new generation of change leaders who will be committed to advancing equitable access to quality education in Uganda. These leaders will address education inequity inside and outside of the education sector, with a common vision of providing every child with an opportunity to attain a quality and equitable education.

Through our holistic approach, our Fellows significantly improve the achievements and aspirations of their students in high-need Universal Primary Education (UPE) and Universal Secondary Education (USE) schools, thereby putting children on the path of expanded opportunities.

In the next 5 years, our goal is to grow to 1,798 Fellows and government teachers (in-service) impacting over 326,400 students directly, with a growing network of over 1,020 alumni leaders. Among these, 65% will continue to work in the education sector, 30% will create social enterprises and 5% will influence policy; collectively advancing equitable access to quality education.
