Strengthening Partnerships for Educational Equity

Teach For Uganda was honored to visit Busitema University as part of our ongoing commitment to building meaningful partnerships with higher education institutions across the country. This engagement reflects our shared vision of preparing graduates with competence-based skills that empower them to become transformative leaders in underserved communities.

The dialogue with university leadership was both inspiring and forward-looking, centered on aligning academic excellence with social impact. Together, we explored opportunities to equip future educators and professionals with the tools needed to drive sustainable change in Uganda’s education landscape.

We are deeply grateful to Prof. Paul Waako, PhD, Vice Chancellor of Busitema University and Dr. Saphina Biira, PhD, Associate Professor and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), along with all the university leaders who welcomed us with warmth and engaged in enriching discussions. Their commitment to innovation and equity in education resonates strongly with our mission.

At Teach For Uganda, we remain steadfast in our pursuit of equitable, quality education for all children. Collaborations like this are vital to bridging the gap between academic preparation and real-world leadership in communities that need it most.

Together, we can build a future where every child in Uganda has access to the education they deserve.
