BIG NEWS: Teach For Uganda Named Education Leadership Development NPO of the Year 2026
We are excited to share that Teach For Uganda has been voted Education Leadership Development Non-Profit Organisation of the Year 2026 in the Non-Profit Organisation Awards by Acquisition International, an international monthly digital business magazine.
This recognition comes at a deeply meaningful moment as we mark 10 years of recruiting, training, and supporting leaders to serve in underserved classrooms and grow into lifelong champions for education equity.
For us, this award is more than a title. It is a celebration of ten years of belief, service, leadership, and relentless hope in the promise of Uganda’s children. At Teach For Uganda, we believe that every child deserves access to quality education, and that lasting change begins when committed leaders step into classrooms, communities, and systems with courage and purpose.
Over the past decade, we have worked to build a movement of leaders who serve where the need is greatest, strengthen learning outcomes, and continue to drive change long after their Fellowship journey. This recognition affirms what we have always believed: leadership matters, classrooms matter, and the future of education will be shaped by people bold enough to stand in the gap.
And this win belongs to all of us.
To our partners and supporters, thank you for believing in this mission and standing with us. Your trust, generosity, and partnership continue to make this life-changing work possible.
To our Fellows, who show up every day in some of the toughest classroom realities with resilience, creativity, courage, and heart, this award carries your story.
To our Alumni, who keep the flag raised high beyond the Fellowship and continue to serve, lead, influence, and open doors across different spaces, we celebrate you.
And to our staff, the real MVPs, the ones moving the bricks, holding the systems, building the relationships, telling the stories, solving the problems, and making the mission breathe every day: you are seen, you are valued, and you are deeply special.
This award is not the finish line. It is fuel. It is a reminder that the work matters, the mission is alive, and Uganda’s children are worth every effort.
As we celebrate this milestone, we invite more partners, institutions, and supporters to join us in expanding educational opportunity for children in underserved communities.
